ABSTRACT:
In a communication system comprising a gateway node between a communication network1and a circuit-switched communication network2via a plurality of circuit-switched channels ch1, . . . , chn associated with the gateway node and comprising at least two control entities to which respective groups of said channels ch1, . . . ,chn are allocated, a method and system for reallocating the channels among the control entities, comprising an automatic monitoring of one or more sources31, 41, 51of communication performance information, and on the basis of data received from the sources, automatically determining whether a reallocation triggering condition is met, and if the reallocation triggering condition is met, automatically calculating a reallocation of the circuit-switched channels among the control entities.
