ABSTRACT:
A theater chair comprises a floor support 2, an upwardly open U-shaped iron fitting 3 fixed to the support, its front limb 32 bearing a seat 4 hinged around an axis 32 spaced from its rear edge, the latter retracting within the limbs of the U-shaped fitting when the seat is raised. The rear 36 limb bears the backrest 5 and, optionally, armrests 6.
