ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a container-transporting device which fundamentally avoids the problems caused by elongations and the structure of endless chains, which is inevitably created by using endless chains in the container-transporting conveyors for conventional filling-and-packaging machines. It is a container-transporting device for holding and transporting a square-cylindrical container36by a container holder34formed between container-transporting means32and33disposed to face parallel with each other, wherein the container conveying means32and33are equipped with: a number of blocks40having a holding part38constituting a part of a container holder34; outward block-support members42and homeward block-support members44, arranged by extending in the conveying direction, for supporting a number of blocks40in a movable condition along the conveying direction; a first transfer means46capable of sequentially transferring the blocks40that have been conveyed while being supported by the outward block-support members42to the homeward block-support members44; a second transfer means48capable of sequentially transferring the blocks40that have been conveyed while being supported by the homeward block-support members44to the outward block-support members42; and a block delivering means50capable of delivering and conveying the blocks40so that each block40can be circulated.
