ABSTRACT:
A novel alkaloid named "cephalomannine" has been produced from the tissue of plants belonging to the group commonly known as taxads and has proven to be effective in causing the remission of leukemic tumors in mice treated therewith. Cephalomannine is characterized by the following structural formula: ##STR1##
