The licorice juice may be in the form of a foam, and the material may additionally include a binder and water. In order to increase the cohesiveness of the material, flexible strands of fine wire may be added to the mixture or a wire webbing may be used as a carrier material. Preferably, the cellulosic mulch is shredded paper.
