ABSTRACT:
SV3T3 cells are rapidly propagated in vitro to elaborate MIF and TAF by first growing on a surface and thereafter transferring an inoculum of the growing cells into an agitated liquid suspension of nutrient culture medium, incubating at 30.degree.-38.degree. C while continuing the agitation of the medium, periodically transferring the growing cells into fresh medium and continuing the incubation with agitation of the medium, whereby said cells are proliferated in aggregates and elaborate MIF and TAF in significantly detectable amounts.
