ABSTRACT:
A cell adhesion inhibitor of the general formula:in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?R3-L-L′-R1in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?is disclosed. An inhibitor of the present invention interacts with VLA-4 molecules and inhibits VLA-4 dependent cell adhesion. Also disclosed are methods for preparing and using such a cell adhesion inhibitor, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing the same.
