ABSTRACT:
A novel CC-chemokine binding protein is isolated from the saliva ofRhipicephalus sanguineus. Compounds prepared in accordance with the present invention can be used as anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory compounds and in the treatment or prevention of CC-chemokine-related diseases.
