ABSTRACT:
The caustic cleaner of the present invention has a freezing point of no more than about 40.degree. F. The caustic cleaner is a mixture of aqueous sodium hydroxide and an organic salt derived from the reaction of sodium hydroxide and gluconic acid at elevated temperatures.
