ABSTRACT:
A cationic compound of the formula [I] below is used for improving the dyeing properties of a textile material by treating therewith the textile material before or after dyeing with an anionic dye. ##STR1## wherein A is a group of the formula [II]: ##STR2## wherein p and q are an integer of 1 to 8, n is an integer of 0 to 2, X is halogen, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are (C1-4) alkyl, OH-- or cyano-substituent-having (C1-4) alkyl or (C1-4) alkenyl, and Q.sub.1, Q.sub.2 and Q.sub.3 are: ##STR3## in which Y is halogen.
