A process for cathodic electrodeposition of small particle, below 20 .mu.m, resin powders coated with precipitated or adsorbed metal oxide or hydroxide at a pH below the isoelectric point giving a zeta potential of at least 35 millivolts. The preparation of the bath is also part of the invention.
