ABSTRACT:
A phosphor screen is formed on an inner surface of a faceplate and has a plurality of regions which are dividedly scanned by electron beams emitted from a plurality of electron guns. Support units are arranged between the faceplate and a rear plate of an envelope so as to support the faceplate and rear plate under atmospheric pressure. Each of the support units includes a plurality of support members, each having one end abutting against the faceplate and the other end abutting against the rear plate, and a plurality of connecting members each connecting a predetermined number of support members and fixed to the faceplate.
