ABSTRACT:
A cathode for hydrogen evolution comprising a substrate stable in aqueous alkaline media having on the surface thereof a coating of particles of an AB.sub.N intermetallic, and optionally particles of a metal inert in the electrolyte, e.g., nickel, adhered to the substrate by sintered polytetrafluoroethylene or similar polymer.
