ABSTRACT:
A cathode comprising a current collector coated with a dispersion of (CF.sub.x).sub.n wherein x is equal to or less than 1.2 and n is an indeterminately large number, a current carrier and a binder characterized in that the current collector is a conductive foil, the binder is sufficiently adhesive to adhere the coated dispersion to the conductive foil and the coated dispersion has a porosity greater than 43 percent. The cathodes are useful in electrochemical cells having light metal anodes.
