ABSTRACT:
Catamenial appliance having an outwardly spring biased flexible ring insertable into the vagina of a female and over the cervix, attached to a closed collecting sheath to contain and direct menstrual flow. The collecting sheath protrudes only slightly from the vagina yet will still permit total intra-vaginal containment of menses. In alternate embodiments, the distal end may be provided with means to permit emptying of menses without removal of the ring and sheath.
