ABSTRACT:
A process for dewaxing lube basestocks over low acidity dewaxing catalysts can be undertaken at steady state temperature. In a preferred embodiment, the feedstock is subjected to catalytic dewaxing with concommident removal of gaseous product. When high boiling feed with end points above 1000.degree. F., such as heavy neutrals and bright stocks, and waxy feeds containing more than 20 wt % wax are subject of the process, it is preferred to use continuously stirred tank reactors.
