ABSTRACT:
A process for the production of an amine composition with a high proportion of diethylenetriamine to piperazine comprising reacting ethylenediamine with itself or monoethanolamine in the presence of a nickel, cobalt or rhodium catalyst at temperatures between about 170.degree. C. and 210.degree. C.
