ABSTRACT:
Liquid catalytic system comprising at least one group VIII metal compound, a fatty amine hydrochloride whose melting point is greater than 25.degree. C. and an organic solvent. This catalytic system is suitable for the preparation of vinyl chloride by reacting acetylene with hydrogen chloride.
