ABSTRACT:
By-product polypropylene may be converted by catalytic cracking into a fuel oil product having the viscosity necessary to permit it to be pumped and stored at the temperatures normally used for fuel oils. The cracking process is carried out at a temperature of, for example, 450.degree. C. in a tubular reactor using a silica-on-alumina catalyst.
