ABSTRACT:
A method for catalytically converting hydrocarbon wherein hydrocarbon is contacted at hydrocarbon conversion conditions with a catalyst comprising a metal, hydrogen ion-exchanged aluminosilicate prepared by a process comprising heating an aqueous slurry of a nitrogen compound which hydrolyzes slowly to form ammonia, a metal salt and an ammonium-exchanged crystalline aluminosilicate to allow the metal to precipitate within the lattice structure of the aluminosilicate, and subsequently calcining the aluminosilicate to remove ammonia and form a heat-stable metal, hydrogen ion-exchanged aluminosilicate.
