ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to an all-metal catalyst for the oxidation of gaseous sulphur compounds, more particularly hydrogen sulphide, in an oxygen-containing atmosphere, said catalyst consisting of a metal alloy of 5 to 70% by weight nickel and 30 to 95% by weight copper as residue thermally treated at temperatures of 400.degree. to 1000.degree. C. in an oxygen-containing atmosphere for 0.25 to 5 hours.
