ABSTRACT:
A lean NOxtrap composition. The lean NOxtrap composition utilizes ruthenium in place of higher cost metals such as platinum. The lean NOxtrap composition provides high NOxstorage efficiency and high NOxconversion efficiency when incorporated in a lean NOxtrap. A method of removing harmful gases using the lean NOxtrap composition is also described.
