ABSTRACT:
A ceramic honeycomb structure contaning SiO.sub.2, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and MgO primarily in the form of cordierite, mullite and corundum and having extensive microcracking provides high resistance to thermal shock, and is useful as a substrate for catalysts.
