ABSTRACT:
This invention is directed to the formation of massive aluminum-magnesium alloy plate wherein the plate is cast directly to size then homogenized at a temperature greater than 1020.degree. F for more than 12 hours to provide good mechanical properties and excellent weldment characteristics.
