ABSTRACT:
A cassette tape recorder is provided for suppressing vibration of a cassette during operation of the tape recorder by placing an elastic vibration suppressing sheet on the surface of a hiding plate. The surface of the suppressing sheet which faces the cassette includes a number of projections. In a second embodiment of the invention, a cassette stabilizer is provided having a device for opening and closing a door of the tape recorder, a pushing member for pushing the cassette placed in a housing of the door, and a pulling coupler which is disengaged from the push member when the door is opened, and which is engaged with the push member when the door is closed for shoving the push member onto the cassette.
