ABSTRACT:
A cassette loading device which can achieve sufficient miniaturization of a tape recorder. The cassette loading device comprises a frame, a cassette holder mounted on the frame for removably receiving a cassette thereon and carrying the received cassette between a cassette receiving position and a cassette playing position, a slide lever mounted for engaging, when the cassette holder is in the cassette receiving position, with the cassette received on the cassette holder to resiliently urge the cassette to move out of the cassette holder, and a slide plate mounted between the slide lever and the frame for movement with respect to the frame and the slide lever for guiding the slide lever in movement. The slide plate serves part of a guide for the movement of the slide lever and reduces the distance over which the frame guides the slide lever.
