A cassette10for a thermal transfer sheet according to the present invention includes a core holding member11having a take-up core holding part12for holding the take-up core2and a feeding core holding part13for holding the feeding core3,and a pair of covers20and21for respectively covering the take-up core holding part12and the feeding core holding part13.A rod30for guiding the thermal transfer sheet5is disposed on the core holding member11.The rod30is positioned on the opposite side of the thermal head5brelative to the thermal transfer sheet5,and is positioned on the side of the core holding member11relative to the thermal transfer sheet5.
