ABSTRACT:
Male and female surface-type fastener tapes are unwound from respective spools in a housing and drawn out of the housing through a tape guide swingably disposed in a slot defined in a side panel of the housing. The spools are disconnected from the housing and can easily be replaced with new ones simply by opening a cover of the housing. The tape guide is automatically directed toward the position where the tapes are unreeled off the respective spools. Therefore, the tapes are properly and smoothly mated together by the tape guide as they are progressively passed through the tape guide.
