ABSTRACT:
A carousel-borne CRT particle-purging system dislodges particles from within the envelope of a CRT carried on a conveyer. The system includes a vibrator for imparting vibration to the envelope, and means for releasably attaching the vibrator to the envelope. The vibrator traverses on the conveyor in operative conjunction with the envelope. The system also includes a canister installed over the neck for purging the envelope with air and catching particles that fall out of the neck.
