ABSTRACT:
A card connector1includes a slide member21movable along an inserting/withdrawing direction of a card, an urging member22for urging the slide member21toward a card insertion opening, and a pin member26having a slide end26aslidable within and relative to a cam groove25provided in the slide member21and a support shaft end26bsupported to the body2side. As the slide end26ais retained at a lock portion L formed in the cam groove25, the card is retained at an appropriate position. The card connector1includes a switch mechanism M which is operated by the support shaft end26bwhen the slide end26ais pushed by the slide member21along the urging direction of the urging member22at the time of retention of the slide end26aat the lock portion L.
