ABSTRACT:
The car power source apparatus is provided with a series battery array10having a plurality of rechargeable batteries11connected in series to supply power to an electric motor that drives the car, equalizing circuits20that equalize battery11electrical characteristics by discharging or charging each battery11of the series battery array10, a cut-off mechanism19connected in series with the series battery array10to disconnect the series connection, and a stopping circuit50, 70, 80that detects the cut-off state of the cut-off mechanism19and controls equalizing circuit20operation. In this car power source apparatus, the stopping circuit50, 70, 80detects cut-off due to cut-off mechanism19removal and stops the equalizing operation performed by the equalizing circuits20.
