ABSTRACT:
A cap formed of terry cloth fabric is dimensioned to fit over the head of a sponge mop and cover its sponge element as well as the peripheral edges of a sponge element attachment plate. The terry cloth fabric includes loose cotton loops projecting from both sides of a ground farbic. An elastic band is carried in a peripheral hem to gather the edges of the cap over the top of the attachment plate and assure a snug fit.
