ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a modular armor structure for a vehicle, the structure having n external rectangular frame containing a series of spaced parallel beams tilted and overlapping so as to form a continuous barrier against horizontally flying projectiles, the beams having a relatively flat outboard region and a curved inboard region to trap fragments and debris of projectiles shattering against the outboard region of the beams.
