ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a hand grip which makes it possible to hold a camera by the grip fixed under the camera body or by the grip disposed to the left or right alongside the camera body. A release button which is disposed on the grip and by which the camera shutter is usually triggered, is fully capable of functioning in all possible positions of the grip. It always lies on the front of the grip and can be operated in the customary manner with the index finger. A connecting member is used between the hand grip and the camera. This connecting member may be a supporting plate with attachment bolt for connection to the grip itself. Or by constructing the connecting member as a T-shaped side holder, the hand grip can be optionally located on the left or right side of the camera body. When the hand grip is locked on the camera body, the push rod guided in the side holder simultaneously comes in mechanical contact with the release or the release contact of the camera and translates the movement of the release button in the grip into an actuation of the release or of the release contact in the camera body. Other elements are provided for the hand grip and connector structure so that various attachments in addition to the camera may be held thereby.
