ABSTRACT:
A means and method are provided for straightening and locking an elongated cantilevered mold core into molding alignment before injecting a molding composition into a cavity for a deep, thin-walled container. In a preferred embodiment a core locking cam means is rotatably retained in the base of a mold. A stationary complementary cam reacting means is located in the free end of the core. The core is locked by telescoping the cam means into the reacting means and rotating the cam means to bring it into locking engagement with the core end.
