ABSTRACT:
A method for antagonizing or blocking calcium channels in vascular tissue, comprising administering to an animal in need thereof a pharmaceutically-effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, --CO--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl), or --CH.sub.2 Ar, --CO--Ar, wherein Ar is phenyl or substituted phenyl;
