A newCalatheaplant particularly distinguished by upright, wider than tall, dense leafy growth habit with paper-white bracted inflorescences which are held above and among the foliage, glossy, elliptical leaves with alternating bars of dark and lighter green which follow the primary veins and a thin band of silver green along the margin of the leaf, is disclosed.
