ABSTRACT:
To provide a caged roller assembly having an excellent assimilability, capable of providing a relatively large load bearing capacity, excellent in roller guiding function, strength and accuracy, the caged roller assembly includes a cage1including an outer member3and an inner member4, and an array of rollers2. The outer member3is made up of an annular body3aof a diameter greater than the pitch circle diameter PAD of the array of the rollers and collars3beach formed by bending a corresponding end of the annular body3aso as to extend radially inwardly therefrom. The inner member4is of an annular shape having a diameter smaller than the pitch circle diameter PAD. Pockets5and6are defined in the outer and inner members3and4with the rollers2supported in part within the pockets5in the outer member3and in part within the pocket6in the inner member4. The collars3bmay alternatively be provided in the inner member4, rather than the outer member3. One of the outer and inner members that is a collarless member has a slit9defined at one location circumferentially thereof to provide a generally split ring shape.
