ABSTRACT:
An improved floor duct apparatus or assembly useful for the housing and routing of power and/or communication lines and cables routed through duct access openings and connectible floor fittings, said apparatus including multiple interior segregated compartments and/or channels defined by cooperating floor, ceiling and side wall sections, the improvement thereof comprising the elevation or depression of selected portions of the ceiling section to define certain ceiling portions inclined with respect to the horizontal plane wherein the access openings therethrough include both vertical and horizontal dimensions providing increased accessibility into the underlying interior channels. Cooperating floor fitting or outlet apparatus includes improved assembly of parts and compartmentalized configuration.
