ABSTRACT:
The cable braking member for the drive of a safety belt retightener consists of three triangularly arranged stud-shaped obstructions between which the pulling cable is led. A progressing increase of the restraining force generated by the cable braking member is achieved in that the contacting faces of the stud-shaped obstructions are inclined at an angle of inclination of less than 90.degree. to the guide plane of the pulling cable.
