A burning-on alloy for the production of ceramically veneered dental restorations, containing:cobalt55-65 percent by weight,chromium20-30 percent by weight,tungsten and/orwhere the sum of the content by weightmolybdenumof molybdenum and half the content byweight of tungsten is in the range of4-12 percent by weight,gallium2-4 percent by weight,silicon0-2 percent by weight,manganese0.05-1.9 percent by weight,nitrogen0-0.4 percent by weight,carbon0-0.02 percent by weight,vanadium, niobium,in total 0-5 percent by weight,tantalum, iron,titanium,zirconium, hafniumnickel0-0.1 percent by weight,rhenium, gold,in total 0-0.09 percent by weight,silver, copperother metals,0-1 percent by weight,semi-metals andimpuritieswhere the percent by weight data are in each case based on the total weight of the alloy, is described.
