ABSTRACT:
Burner for a gaseous fuel, provided with separate supply lines for fuel and oxidizing gas, the oxidizing gas being tangentially fed into a cylindrical swirl chamber, which is connected to a burner bowl through a mixing channel, the fuel being radially supplied at the connection of the swirl chamber to the mixing channel. The burner is optionally provided with an integrated heat exchanger. A composite burner system is disclosed, made-up of burners as described above and optionally provided with a plate which isolates the burners from the surrounding area and which indirectly heats the surrounding area.
