ABSTRACT:
An ion-selective electrode for analyzing CO.sub.2 concentration in a liquid sample comprises a support having thereon a metal zone, a metal halide zone, an electrolyte zone, a zone comprising a membrane comprising an ionophore and a zone comprising a hydrophilic binder and a buffer in an amount sufficient to provide a solution having a pH in the range of about 7.5 to 9.5 when wetted with about 5 .mu.l of liquid.
