ABSTRACT:
A brush card assembly10includes a brush card member12, conductive contacts14provided on the brush card member, and brushes16mounted to be electrically in contact with the conductive contacts. The assembly10also includes brush box18associated with each of the brushes. Each brush box includes an integral spring24constructed and arranged to bias an associated brush to contact a commutator, and an integral retainer26constructed and arranged to exert pressure on the associated brush once the brush is disengaged from the commutator.
