ABSTRACT:
A brief-type diaper has pre-girth parts (4, 4′) located vertically, and a pre-crotch part (5) located between the pre-girth parts and provided with substantially V-shaped recesses (6) in the front and rear body sides, respectively. An absorber is disposed in a brief-type diaper precursor (1) where pre-leg openings (7) are made. The precursor (1) is folded vertically along the center line X—X so that the pre-girth parts (4,4′) and the pre-crotch part (5) are overlapped. Subsequently, the side fringe parts (4a, 5a) are bonded to form a waist opening thus obtaining a panty type diaper in which joints (11, 11) are formed in the front and rear bodies and no joint exist in the left and right bodies of the girth area.
