ABSTRACT:
An inhalation opening6and an exhalation-opening4are formed in the facepiece2of a breathing apparatus1and the openings can be closed with an inhalation valve8and exhalation valve7, respectively. If a person wearing the breathing apparatus1inhales, the inhalation valve8is open and the exhalation valve7is closed. A photointerrupter11senses the closing operation of the exhalation valve7and supplies electric power to a motor9to drive a blower16.
