ABSTRACT:
A brake operating device for a bicycle brake having front wheel and rear wheel brakes is provided with at least one control lever, a movable control member operable in association with operation of the control lever, an associated member for transmitting an operating force of the control lever to the movable control member, a first and a second brake wire transmitting operation of the movable control member to the front and rear wheel brakes, and first and second connecting members connecting the first and second brake wires to the movable control member. The first and second connecting members are pivotally mounted on the movable control member and the associated member is coupled with the movable control member at a position displaced with respect to the center between the pivot points of the first and second connecting members to the movable control member, so that during the initial braking action, the input force to the rear wheel brake exceeds that to the front wheel brake, and thereafter, the input force of the front wheel brake becomes larger than that to the rear wheel brake.
