ABSTRACT:
The hydrophilicity and other properties of fluoropolymer-bonded asbestos diaphragms for use in brine electrolysis cells are improved by incorporating Na.sub.2 CO.sub.3 into the aqueous slurry from which the diaphragms are prepared.
