ABSTRACT:
A transportable boat lift having a base and a boat support frame that is mounted on the base for movement between a lowered position and a raised position. The boat lift is installed in a lake or river so that the boat support frame supports the boat in a desired location, either above the water level or close to it. In a lowered position, the boat that is supported on the boat support frame will be floating for use. The boat lift includes a transport mechanism that permits easily installing and removing the boat lift by having one or more float rollers that are actuated to float the boat lift when the boat lift is moved from its lowered position to its raised position. The float rollers are forced downwardly relative to the base to float the boat lift in the water, and when the boat lift is moved toward shore the rollers act as wheels for permitting the boat lift to be easily moved up the shore to a storage position.
