Siliver halide photographic elements are disclosed comprised of blended emulsions. An improved relationship between speed and granularity can be realized when a blended silver bromide or bromoiodide emulsion is comprised of a high aspect ratio tabular grain emulsion containing at least one spectral sensitizing dye and a low aspect ratio grain emulsion.
